Mr. Norio Itoo's recollections

With August 1, 1943. Norio Itoo, Kazuo Kodera, Akira Miyazaki, Yoshihiko Watabe, 
Hiroyasu Andoo, besides me. and The 12th team Basic flight trainee, It carried 
out and the Kagoshima Navy Flight Corps was joined. They are the classmate of 
the Saeki junior high school.

We had the new uniform on. As for it, seven buttons were attached to it. 
The uniform was our yearning. We are Salutation with a smiling face to the 
parents who have sent to Kagoshima. And the new life started.

We thought that an airplane was taken immediately here and training carried out.
However, it was just going to gain the energy which is the foundation as a crew 
here, physical strength, and academic ability.

About the day of registration, the mild teacher became strong suddenly from 
the next day. The "military spirit pouring stick" of navy tradition it will be 
chased by the so-called batter.

A basic drill is begun and they are a land battle, swimming, and a cutter. 
It is continuation of severe training which the spare time which takes a break
does not have, either. The communication means indispensable as a crew was 
educated thoroughly. It receives and transmission a Morse signal, and are 
a flashing signal, flag signaling, a signal with a flag, etc.               
 
It graduated from basic training safely in March, 1944. The classmates except 
Mr. Ando specified to be a pilot were transferred to Shanghai Navy Flight Corps 
together.

Here, flight training started as a reconnaissance member. Although just the 
group differed from the squad, if spare time is found, a classmate gathers and 
talks together.
 
It graduated from flight training in September, 1944. Moreover, it was assigned 
as an operational unit's crew. Mr. Itoo and I became affiliation of Tainan Flight 
Corps, and started for my new assignment via Taipei by Douglas transport. 
The duty was decided here. It was decided that Mr. Itoo would be a bomber. And 
I was determined as the attack plane.
  
Mr. Kodera became affiliation of 701 Flight Corps and he separated in Shanghai 
Flight Corps. And it did not meet again. Petty Officer 2nd class Kazuo Kodera is
on April 7, 1945. The command of the enemy ship ship attack around Okinawa was 
received. It got into a model 96 attack plane, and departed for 1555 from the 
Sinchiku air base. And while delivering a torpedo attack, it was killed in war.

After the offing aviation war of Taiwan finished, we were transferred to 721 
Flight Corps. I am an attack plane and he is a bomber. It went to Usa air base 
via Okinawa.

Mr. Itoo who left previously was able to step on the land of Saeki after a long 
time. It is said that he met by chance the mother who carried out to the visit 
to a Ikehuna bridge.

The last which he said as the mother What contents was language? I could go back 
home and was able to meet parents. However, it was it 1 small hour.
 
We were transferred to Hiyakurihara Flight Corps on March 26, 1945. In the time 
and Hiyakurihara Flight Corps, organization of a "Kamikaze party" was performed 
one after another.

Those in whom member of kamikaze received training of a bomber in Tainan Flight  
Corps were chosen previously. 
Mr. Itoo was chosen as member of the "No2 SEITOO kamikaze party." I was not chosen 
as why or Kamikaze and was ordered with going to an Atsugi Flight Corps. "I also 
go.... immediately" it is the language of the last which I told to him.
                    
The results of a school of Mr. Itoo were good, and he also knew Chinese poetry 
well in the literary talent house. Moreover, He has write a some novel, poetry, 
etc.

"17 years ...." which he sent to the family on the occasion of the Kamikaze

The victory of a homeland is believed. When thinking of him who disappeared 
by the youth of 17 years old although it is a reason of a country.
