ただ、名前が間違っており、岩本欣一は岩本喜一、山本経三郎は山本恒太郎が正しいようです。
当時はファクシミリが一般的ではなかったので、アルファベットの電文で日本から送られてきたからだと思います。
それを現地で適当な漢字を当てはめて発行した結果ではないかと私は愚考いたしております。
なお、岩本中佐については重傷を負いながら、無事だったようで、海軍航空等についての記事等を執筆しております。

However, the names are incorrect: Kin-ichi Iwamoto is correct as Kiichi Iwamoto and Keisaburo Yamamoto is correct as Tsunetaro Yamamoto.
I think this is because facsimiles were not common at that time, so they were sent from Japan as alphabetical telegrams.
I believe that this may have been the result of the local people applying the appropriate kanji characters to the letters and publishing them.
Commander Iwamoto was seriously wounded, but seems to have survived, and wrote articles on naval aviation and other topics.
